If not now, then when?

Everybody has a goal (or few) that they hope to accomplish. But let’s be honest, sometimes its hard! It is hard to get up off your booty to start to accomplish your goals. If you are one of those people who need a “sign” to tell you when to start to work towards your goal, take this post as your sign. Take these tips and run with them to crush every goal you made for yourself this year.

“If not now then when?” BABES! Take this one tip and let it be the main reason why you start to work on your goals asap. If you do not start working on them now, then, when will you? Will it be tomorrow? Next week? Next year? None of those are good enough answers. 2 weeks from now you will be wishing you started sooner. It happens to the best of us. Save yourself the guilt of not starting sooner and just do it! Stop whatever you are doing and make a plan, this is your sign to start now!

First things first; write it down! Whether it be in a journal or in the notes section of your phone, write that sucker down. It is proven that if you write down exactly what you want to do, then it has a greater chance of being accomplished. Why you might ask? I honestly do not know; I am not a scientist. It probably has something to do with your brain and making connections, ya know science stuff. But seriously just write it down, somewhere you look relatively every day, so it reminds you to keep pushing towards you achieving it.

The next thing you need to do is share your goal with somebody close to you. It can be your parents, significant other, best friend, whoever you are around that can hold you responsible for keeping on track with your goal. Somebody that will help push you in the right direction when times get tough. The flip side of this may be hard to do but stay away from people who hinder your success. This may be any toxic relationship you have in your life. Stay away. The top 5 people you are around most often have a huge impact on your life, your behaviors and actions stem from theirs. If you are surrounded by negative and unmotivated people, then that will start rubbing off on you. Find people who will bring out the best in you and help you crush your goals.

Celebrate little victories along the way! I love this one, mostly because I love any reason to celebrate and treat myself. If your goal is to ultimately lose 20 pounds by the end of the summer, celebrate for every 5 pounds lost. Go get the new lipstick you have been wanting or take a nice bubble bath. Whatever makes YOU happy and makes the process easier and more enjoyable.

They say whatever you do for 30 days will become a habit. After 30 days of working towards your goal it will become easier and more enjoyable. Don’t let fear of what others may think be the reason you don’t work towards achieving everything you have ever wanted. It is your life and your own happiness. Don’t hold off on your goals because the only person it will end up hurting in the end is you.
