
Summer is right around the corner, or if you’re a college student like me then you’re back home and ready for the warm weather. Since this summer is all about healthy life styles and getting into shape, here is a yummy drink that is a nice and nourishing addition to your day. Tumeric Lattes (or as I like to call them Golden Lattes) is a perfect immune system boost because it is filled with anti-inflammatory spices such as ginger and of course Tumeric. You can have this both warm, or over ice like I have it in the picture above. Having it iced is a nice and refreshing way to cool down in the warm weather, and is an amazing healthier alternative to iced coffee. Yes, it does have a strange taste that needs some getting used to, but once you finish your first cup you’ll definitely be wanting to add this into your daily routine.
Tumeric is considered a super-food, because of its ability to help the body adapt to stressors such as lack of sleep, environmental toxins, and inflammatory foods. It is also said to help with gastrointestinal health, it is antibacterial, and can even help with asthma and arthritis. All of these benefits can greatly improve your gut health and help with a flatter tummy a well. I have included my easy recipe below for you to enjoy!
Golden Latte:
2 cups Almond Milk or Coconut Milk
1.5 tsp Tumeric Powder
1/4th tsp Ground Ginger
3 tbsp Maple Syrup or Agave Syrup or Honey
1/2 tsp Vanilla
Mix all ingredients in a cocktail mixer and serve over Ice
